Rosie Wheen:

Leadership coach

Global leadership coach | Specialist* in leaders in transition

I am a purpose-driven coach and transformational leader who thrives working with leaders navigating significant transitions — stepping into bigger roles, redefining their leadership identity, or leading through complexity, uncertainty or change.

My coaching practice is grounded in intersectional feminist leadership, courageous reflection and deep relational connection. I bring more than two decades of executive leadership experience to support clients in building grounded confidence, clarity and purposeful action. I work globally with clients across sectors, cultures and regions.

(*self appointed title after working alongside 20+ clients!)

Clients describe me as calm, grounded, deeply present and someone who creates “brave space” for honest reflection and meaningful growth.

Coaching Approach

I bring my whole self — heart, body and mind — to my coaching. I create spaces where leaders feel seen, supported and thoughtfully challenged. My approach is strengths-based, values-led and deeply relational.

I help leaders to:

  • Build clarity and confidence

  • Reconnect with their purpose and leadership identity

  • Navigate transition with compassion and courage

  • Strengthen their influence and impact

  • Lead with alignment and integrity

Areas of Coaching Focus

  • Leaders in transition or stepping into new roles

  • Women and gender-diverse leaders seeking confidence, visibility and influence

  • Purpose-driven, social impact and justice-oriented leaders

  • Leaders seeking deeper alignment between values and leadership

  • Global and cross-cultural leadership contexts

Experience & Background

My coaching is informed by more than 20 years of experience at the forefront of international development, gender equity, social justice and climate justice. I have led high-performing global teams, shaped major partnerships and influenced policy at local, regional and global levels.

Through all that and the roles below I have had to continue to the work on myself to sustain my courage, my self-compassion and my confidence. So if you are reading this and imagining some sort of superhero, Teflon woman who has it all sorted out that – let me set you straight I too am a work in progress!

Rosie as a coach is deeply compassionate, highly intelligent and strongly values-drive

Rosie’s experience in senior leadership at a global level, combined with her background as an educator, creates an exceptionally powerful coaching skillset.  She takes the time to genuinely understand who you are — your strengths, goals, and values — and then builds a coaching plan that is thoughtfully individualised to both your personal aspirations and organisational context. Her encouragement is constant, her listening is intentional, and her insight is always sharp.

Rosie empowered us to fearlessly chase our purpose..

In a world that moves fast and with pressures that come from all angles it was so refreshing to hear from Rosie. She engaged with honesty, warmth, and authenticity. Rosie’s message of balance, kindness, and being curios to find our purpose resonated deeply, leaving our VFLW players both grounded and inspired. And just when we thought we had life figured out, she reminded us that sometimes the best balance comes from a little salsa dancing!
